This Grade II listed cottage was extremely dilapidated and rotten.  The frame had been left exposed to the elements for many years and had deteriorated to the extent that it was in a dangerous condition and ready to collapse.  The work entailed restoring and rebuilding the frame, using only traditional techniques and joints.  Where new oak was installed, the wood has been carefully shaped and crafted to give the appearance of age and to blend the new wood seamlessly into the existing wood.
